Vltor Carbine/collapsible Buttstocks will only fit MilSpec Receiver Extensions, such as Colt and Vltor.
We offer a 5-position Receiver Extension for both the M4 and CAR15 weapon series (Model# RE-1) as well as one for the Armalite AR10TM carbine and rifle (Model# RE-10).
The RE-10 extension will only work when using the Armalite AR-10B Operation Spring, part# EA1095 and AR10 Carbine Buffer part# EC0120. The receiver extension has a MilSpec outer profile and will only accept Colt or Vltor dimensioned buttstocks.

ACS M4 Carbine Collapsible Butt-Stock – Military Model
The patent-pending Magpul ACS (Adaptable Carbine/Storage – Military Model) is a drop-in replacement butt-stock for carbines using mil-spec receiver extension tubes. A streamlined, anti-snag profile shields the release latch to prevent accidental activation and the extra-power lock mechanism uses a premium chrome-silicon spring to avert auto-collapse failure by resisting spring relaxation. Similar to the CTR™, the ACS also features a supplemental friction lock system that eliminates wobble* for enhanced weapon stability and accuracy. Dual, rear accessible, water-resistant battery storage tubes and an integral storage compartment in the butt of the stock provides multiple storage options. The ACS comes standard with a rubber butt-pad which gives positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even with body armor or modular gear.

UBR™ Collapsible Buttstock
The Magpul UBR (Utility / Battle Rifle), U.S. Patent 6651371, is a fully-featured, adjustable butt stock for the AR15 / M16. Unlike typical collapsing stocks, this modular design offers the stability of a fixed stock with consistent cheek weld in any position. Seven-position length-of-pull (LOP) adjustment is quickly executed with gross motor movement while the integral preset system allows direct access to a preferred position. A robust lock mechanism and multi-shell construction increase durability under severe impact conditions experienced during malfunction clearing and accommodates large-bore AR calibers. The UBR™ also provides extra counterbalance weight to improve handling on full-length rifles and weapons with muzzle-heavy accessories or grenade launchers. Optional components such as dual-side sling mounts and metal strike plate allow the UBR™ to adapt to the mission at hand.
Note: The UBR includes the necessary Entry Receiver Extension tube and all mounting hardware. An M4 Carbine Buffer and Spring are required for use with the UBR and are not included.
