                   HANDGUN SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT

On January 01, 2006 the club directors implemented a handgun safety qualifying session that everyone must pass in order to use the indoor and outdoor range. This is done to help insure safety.

Non-members and new members must qualify before they can use any handgun range. To qualify you must complete one of the following sessions.

1. If you would like to qualify by shooting indoors, you must be supervised by one of our trained instructors and place 5 shots out of 5 shots on a 30" x 30" paper target from a distance of 50 feet.

2. If you would like to qualify by shooting outdoors, you must be supervised by one of our trained instructors and place 5 shots out of 5 shots on a 30" x 30" paper target from a distance of 25 yards.

If you do not pass one of the qualifying sessions outlined above we offer instruction and basic handgun courses that will teach you proper firearm use and allow you to try qualifying again. Anyone that qualifies will receive a stamp on their membership card indicating that they can use any of our handgun ranges.
